Join Us

Johnny on the Spot (JOTS) Birthdays brings the magic of birthday parties, graduation celebrations and other special events to children living in shelters and group homes.

JOTS started in 2012 in memory of Johnny Achee who died at the age of 48 in a tragic accident. Johnny's love for his children and grandchildren lives on as JOTS delivers hope, compassion and smiles.

Currently JOTS hosts parties for children who reside in Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility 's Cornerstone located in Thibodaux, LA. and donates to MacDonell Children's Home in Houma, LA.

2024 Cinderella's closet

The 11th annual Cinderella's Closet, sponsored by Thibodaux Service League, Thibodaux High School and JOTS Birthdays is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8th from 11-4 pm at Thibodaux High School.

Last year, more than 50 deserving girls received dresses, shoes and accessories for the prom or JROTC Ball. One sweet girl told a volunteer that she did not know how she was going to get a dress. THIS is why we do what we do! Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors for making this a success!

JOTS currently hosts parties for residents at Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility's Cornerstone located at 2525 Veterans Blvd. in Thibodaux, LA

LJJF's Cornerstone is a temporary and long-term treatment center for abused and neglected children and can house up to 24 residents. Cornerstone's caring staff of professionals addresses the needs of the children and provides them with a safe and nurturing environment.

Cornerstone residents attend: W.S. Lafargue Elementary,West Middle School, Thibodaux High School or Virtual Academy of Lafourche. Currently there are 12 residents.

For the past TEN years, Colin and Alex LeBlanc of Lockport have dedicated their lemonade stand donations to help those less fortunate. All proceeds support foster children living at Cornerstone in Thibodaux, LA and MacDonell Children's Home in Houma, LA.

In May 2022, the LeBlanc brothers raised more than $1000 both online and in-person!

Even during the pandemic, these awesome brothers continued to raise donations virtually!

In August 2017, Colin and Alex were named Outstanding Youth Activist Award during the MacDonell Children's Home annual benefit.

THANK YOU, Alex and Colin, for helping our local foster children!! Thank you to their parents Jessica and Ben LeBlanc for raising such amazing kids!

2023 Christmas day lunch

This year more than 60 guests attended our annual Christmas Day Lunch/Gifts hosted by First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux.

On Christmas Day, residents and staff from Cornerstone in Thibodaux, LA, MacDonell Children's Home in Houma, LA., and BIG Dreamers Organization of Thibodaux were treated to a delicious buffet, along with gifts, treat bags and gift cards!

Thank you to the MANY groups and individuals who made this day extra special! First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux provided large tote bags filled with snacks and treats for each child; St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church donated their angel tree gifts to the children and Bayou Signs Outdoors donated $50 Walmart gift cards to every resident!

God bless our supporters who continue to make this day extra special for so many deserving children!
